A Benefit for Healing Families
This wonderful and timely event was held on July 4, 2018 at the BMO Theatre Centre in Vancouver, BC
All proceeds were donated to K.I.N.D. (Kids In Need of Defence) and the VACFSS (Vancouver Aboriginal Child and Family Services Society)
Many local actors, performers and musicians volunteered their time and talent to perform songs, aboriginal dance and recitations – including Amanda who recited a touching piece by William Shakespeare from the ‘The Book of Sir Thomas More’ which speaks of man’s inhumanity to refugees. Eric McCormack gave a rocking version of the songs ‘Reason to Believe’ and ‘SOS’, accompanied by incredibly talented MacKenzie Porter on the violin. A lot of energy and compassion on stage that night.
Sanctuary for Kids donation of $10K was greatly appreciated.
