Dear Friends:

This is a report we recently received from Next Generation Nepal.

“Priya wants to become a social worker and help other children who have been through difficulty and trauma—and we can think of no one better suited to the task! She is part of the NGN Scholarship program which receives support from S4K, and her studies will give her academic qualifications and life skills to be a force for good in her community. Priya is an absolute delight despite the traumas of her childhood – she and her brother were trafficked and she is a double orphan (both parents have passed away). She is always upbeat and playful, and we know that her character and determination will stand her in good stead for her future aspirations.

To date Sanctuary For Kids has raised over $500,000.00!!! Half a million dollars, that have done more good than you can ever imagine. We are so incredibly proud of the charities that we support. Their tireless efforts have transformed countless lives. We work with small charities that are truly living in the thick of their work. The Watari program in East Vancouver, Nepal Orphans Home, Asha Nepal, Next Generation Nepal and SOPUDEP in Haiti are all doing remarkable work. They continue to inspire and motivate us.

Our children around the world are thriving and establishing themselves as the leaders of tomorrow. Children at Nepal Orphans Home and Next Generation Nepal are going to college! They are eating nutritious food, they are receiving a good education and they are finding their place in this world. And they will change not only their lives, but also the lives of those around them. Children are moving off of the streets and transitioning into productive and fulfilling lives. This is, beyond any measure, truly beautiful.

The remarkable efforts of you, our supporters, has quite simply blown us away. Your grassroots initiatives, fundraising work, support and love have been instrumental.

We have made some updates to the look of our website. Thank you Sanna!!!

We want to acknowledge the incredible work of GABIT events and their fundraising and work with the S4K store! We cannot say enough about their gracious efforts on our behalf.

We are working on a fall auction that will showcase some of our most cherished pieces. I have found some lovely items that I know you will appreciate. :D

I have said before that you should never underestimate the power that you have. You have changed lives. You continue to change lives. You continue to save lives.

We are so very proud of you! We are so very grateful for your support, enthusiasm and your generous hearts!
